Example - Object Oriented style

Return the current system status:

$mysqli = new mysqli("localhost","my_user","my_password","my_db");

if ($mysqli -> connect_errno) {
echo "Failed to connect to MySQL: " . $mysqli -> connect_error;
exit();
}

echo "System status: ". $mysqli -> stat();

$mysqli -> close();

Definition and Usage

The stat() / mysqli_stat() function returns the current system status.

Syntax

Object oriented style:

$mysqli -> stat()

Procedural style:

mysqli_stat(connection)

Parameter Values

Parameter	Description
connection	Required. Specifies the MySQL connection to use

Technical Details

Return Value:	A string that describes the server status. FALSE on error
PHP Version:	5+

Example - Procedural style
